so you pretty much failed? you gave up on pure dirt riding for something that is limited. Dirt bikes hold that freedom compared to road riding where you are restricted because of police, the law and other considerable factors. Dont give up on dirt bikes just because you hurt yourself. You must fail in order to learn it happens no other way. Go get back on the dirt bike and send it crazy. Road riding is not the same unless your on the track... many cant afford to be on the track, im glad i have those opportunities

I gave up because I get more enjoyment out of riding my road bike.
I can just get on it and go, anytime I want, and there is always someone to ride with...

Well look what the cat dragged in. Pic at Makara? Hard to tell from the background effect.

So what you need is a stint on a Trials bike. Different kind of riding where speed isn't the thriller bit. Plus you can get a carrier for the towbar of you poxy RAV thingy. Then that carrier will probably tote a bucket as well - so you can get some cheap racing in & hopefully cool your jets on the road & make the GSXR last. Then a small garage extn (leave the cars parked outside) & another dirtbike, something small & light. Righto, you're starting to get older & maybe remember the Fizzy you learnt to ride on in the wet motherland, - so resto project.

What''s all this one bike bullshit?

Like your thinking. Might throw in a boat and a track bike while I'm at it too.

Here we go again. Another old timer trying to recapture his youth by buying a sports bike! Couldn't you just act your age by wearing tassles and riding a Harley to lawn bowls.

Road bikes have come a long way sonny since you rode. Got brakes at the back AND the front wheel these days. No shit!

I bet you've never even ridden a Gixer before, so best you display a Learner plate until you find your balance
    ...point.

ps- if that bike is shod with bloody Bridgestones there will be some nervous fences on the Hill

    welcome back Jimbo450/600/750/990

G'day Mark. I believe these 016's are somewhat better than the last efforts. Also the 'look at me I'm so fast' gland has been removed too. But watch the fuck out if your lawn bowl is closer to the jack than mine.

That's funny, that's exactly what mum said. You and her got something going?

Yes, but don't go putting it on the net or anything.
BTW She says stop trying to change the subject.
