I have evolved as a KB member. Now nothing I say should be taken seriously.
Pffft nah its easy as!
I've got a couple of people looking for a VTR 250 for me now instead of the dreamed of Monster. Why? because I want something thats gonna be reliable. I want to learn to ride my bike, not fix it. Thats a boys job. Note to self, find one who doesn't annoy me.

I reckon it's just cos honda make notable bikes (tall poppy syndrome etc). With the exception of the KR1 and RGV, I'd be struggling to name something from another jappa manufacturer worth remembering, fucking beige IL4 crap, or other shite stamped out by the asses of a thousand slant eyes.
an H1 'beige'? FFS man go ride one, then come back and call it beige!!! The only bikes of 'note' Honda produced then was the original 750-4 sohc, CBX 1000 and CB900. The Gold Wing 1000, wasnt exactly a rip snorter was it? The blackbird may have 'just' edged the ZZR for top speed, but it was at the expense of a soft mid range. And there's another interesting 'point' a ZZR1100 is beige? Honda make good bikes i certainly would'nt dispute that, but mate you seriously need to reconsider what is 'beige' and what isnt....

I've had a few Hondas and I don't think I'd ask you out, unless you pay and cuddle.
Horses and courses mate, he doesn't like what they make, there it is. You like it, there we go. I like lots of things, and there we are. We all like different things and think different things are beige.
Mind you, I'm not known for my taste :belh:
I could do with a ZZR11.
Agreed but then he quotes the KR and RGV as not beige, so going on the premise they were the 'dogs bollox' for performance in their class at the time? I was quoting bikes that were the same in their time... not that I would have a preference for some of them. I owned an H1, nice memories, they can stay that way!!! RZ350? beige???
Now if you want REAL beige,,, a nice CD250U, the plastic maggot (CX500), the 350-4, cb750 dohc...... As I admitted honda have made some great bikes, but they for many years built good bikes that just didnt 'stand out'.

...it was at the time...
I would say seccond generation CB900F is not exactly a dog. But also a very underated commuter/tourer that can still achieve WARP speed when needed. Bland looking, hmmm yes, maybe. But it is a wheelie monster and gives grin factor 11 when ridden fast on twisty roads
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....
H2 was quicker, Z1, Z1000 were faster, the XSessive 750 wasnt far behind it, my H1 was errrrrr hehehehe!!!!! The Wing was/is the undisputed king of distances, noone can find any valid reason to dispute that fact.
I did quote the CB900 as a notable bike, remember the buggers well. Would even agree it handled better than the Exessive 1100, but the Yam has to win on the engine alone. The CBX was a tour de force, but remember Benelli also produced a 6 cyl at the time, just not a 1000cc and wasn't a notable bike, except for typical Italian behavior of the period. However the little Benelli 250 quattro?? now that was one PRETTY and out there bike for styling.
