It just so happens that I do know a good looking 32 yr old female who is unattached. The only thing is she'd want to join in rather than anchor him down.
    Time to ride

I know... I thought pigs might fly first, and his mama was beside herself with despair... but the pigs ain't flying and the deal will be sealed early next year. His mama, well, she's happy

Meanwhile, I'll just keep on riding

Actually, with all this talk of long distance touring, my +1 is actually entertaining the idea of going on a "long" tour ride on the bike. To Wellywood ... ( this is but a short ride to me ) trying to convince her that doing a TT is in line with keeping my riding skills up!

I haven't done the Southern Cross or the TT, yet, but they are defintely on the to-do list. Time to to ditch the 2-stroke I think!

Well, we were half way round eh? Definitely funny seeing you and saying "Fancy seeing you here!"

I believe DRL did Patarau... hindsight being perfect thinks there were the odd choices that were better

I went in to Patarau and I heard of one other, maybe DRL. It was just starting to get light as I got back to Takaka.

What odd choices are you refering to?

He did a blog on it... but apparently he didn't enjoy the gravel of Patarau on his tourer...

Been reading this thread since its inception and my little rant about our friend in blue and cant help but think - damn I wish I still had my KTM 950 Adv in the shed. Plan for this year - aquire another adv tourer. A KTM EXC for 2000km of mainly road riding would not at all be plesant!

I think a KTM950 Adv would be jst the ticket for the TT... see you next year.

DRL's Blog was pretty neat, but he did not go into the Patarau river.....
