No tickets for the c50s either.
No trophpies either.
We only managed 1350km before the body gave out, the left footpeg fell off at around midnight on Friday in the danseys pass area, it was hard work to keep riding with only one peg.
We did manage to head through the Catlans to Slope point and also tried to get the c50s up Baldwin St in Dunners but no luck with that either.
We are already planning next year, we are sure we can do it.
As i am shifting to Perth next year planning will be harder but i will become the "other" international rider.
Thanks again Mike for a great (and safe) event
next year we will do it!!!!
Thanks for the updates guys, I am always impressed by how riders just go for the sheer joy and spectacle of ... riding!I daresay that some well deserved rest and servicing on bodies and machinery is due!
Will be great reading stories as they eventually trickle in!![]()

I wonder when the Tasman district spokes'person' will be interviewed to see how many TT2000 participants were caught speeding, crashed. were killed or what have you?
(Tuis moment here methinks)

Well got in touch with TOTO and Gremlin, they got in at 9pm and 10pm respectively. Seems Gremlin had a lot of fun in his TT!They are relaxing in the charming hamlet of Hanmer and made the most of the day by riding! (which I approve of!)

It's important to Ms Richardson that a bunch of mainly, lets face it, middle aged men do not enjoy themselves (there were female riders too). I hardly saw a cop and I wouldn't have registered on their radar anyway. The 1 cop who I did see close up was completing a U turn just over the brow of a hill just north of Hanmer. If my arrival had been a few seconds earlier....... . The road was straight for at least 400 metres after the brow so why this bozo in the black commodore thought this spot was appropriate is beyond my comprehension . Anyway it was a great way to spend a weekend, got wet, got cold, got too hot, saw some great scenery, missed some scenery because it was dark, had a few laughs ( hung my camel back from a small hook on my empty pannier rack at Murchison and found it was still there when i arrived in Motueka), ate too many muesli bars, and discovered the public toilets in Tekapo are HEATED. Will be back next year for sure.
To anyone that ever told you you’re no good… They’re no better.
Well that was fun...Well done Mike and much appreciated....now to look forward to next year and what ever changes you come up with...bring it on.
So who all went into the Patarau river....I did and I know of one other....
And....what are these adventures of Gremlins?
Well who ever spread the rumor that there a motorcycle gang from gore has realy got there facts wrong, you will find there a bunch of middle aged men who have turned "GAY" for the TT2000 weekend wearing pink mohawk's round. There based in Invercargill and are not a motorcycle gang,Im not part of the Team gay group but have been talking to the team leader a day after the event and one of the Founding Memeber's Doe's have a sore arse Il let you be the judge of that!

I spoke to Jenni at some length, yesterday, and despite my best arguments she believes that fatigue and speed are likely to complete the course in the time allowed. Of course, we know that's not true, but her belief is firm. I asked how many speeding tickets were issued to TT riders, and she said "very few" (anecdotally, it's about 3) in the 230,000 km that the riders covered. Three quarters of the riders covered just the minumum 2000 km without getting sufficient points for the various grades of awards. No crashes were reported to her. In other words, the results as far as attracting the law's attention goes are consistent with the past three events. She did bring up the matter of Nolan Going's fatal crash in 2010, but given that she hadn't (as of yesterday) read either the SCU or Coroner's reports, this is a red herring. The coroner concluded that the death was a tragic accident. Jenni did say, however, that the riders behaved and she was pleased with the outcome.
Cheers,
Dave B
