damnnn nice.
Interesting motor, ugly bike.
Ummm... aint no V6 by me, Id call it a square 6 with turbo, but it apires to have a single crank like the VAG6, which would mean it cant have a level head?
cheers DD
(Definately Dodgy)
It pisses me off how the supercharger is always dropped on production models. I'm pretty sure the B-King show model had one!
Without it the Horex is what - a over complicated inline 4, the small V may allow it to be a fraction narrower but to what aid. It will be expensive. I keep saving up for a naked MV!
I imagine that they've built it the same as the Volkswagen VR6 engine, which has offset bores and a single crank and a level head. See pic
Not really a V6 in the accepted sense, more like a double three engine?Bit like those W16 engines which aren't really a W shape.
Edit: Yes it is the same as the VW and does have a level head, here's a pic of the Horex block:

Ducati keep saying they make L twins, not V twins!
So it gets two valves per cylinder?
Measure once, cut twice. Practice makes perfect.
No, 3 look closely..... More info on their website: http://www.horex.com/en.html

Yeah, I don't think that 'artists impression' pic is too accurate at the cam end - if you look closely though, you can see the three valve seats in the head for each cylinder.
This is from the website:
Triple overhead cams
The VR concept enabled HOREX engineers to implement a variety of innovative solutions. The pistons for the HOREX engine are designed with slanted heads. Despite the V-formation of the cylinders, this makes it possible to arrange all six combustion chambers on a single plane. Two intake and one exhaust valve are positioned in a radial array around the central spark plug. This design provides an elliptical combustion chamber for maximum power output. The valves are operated by three parallel camshafts mounted in the head. Thus, the HOREX is the first motorcycle engine with a TOHC (Triple Overhead Camshaft) cylinder head.
