    Motorbike pick up by yacht

Well, I pulled my Dommie motor to bits for a bit of a fix up and ended up throwing it into the 'too hard basket' it has a cracked head, rooted little end and big end etc etc.
Getting a bit panicky about the DB I ended up buying a lovely '90 dommie with low k's and looks like it has never seen a dusty road in its life (man is it in for a shock!)
Problem is it is in New Plymouth ! but actually getting closer it will at my uncle's place in Wanganui on friday
So my neighbour and I had a cunning plan.....we are going to sail his catamaran over to Mana on Friday then I'm going to jump on a bus sat morning to have lunch with uncle, ride back to Mana and load up.
We will probly set sail for home on Sun morning.....sweet plan aye!

(what could possibly go wrong ??)

nothing could go wrong - Cook Strait one of the flatest bits of blue out there and the Dommie is really light so won't affect your trim at all.....

    Outlook:
Outlook following 3 days: Becoming Friday morning variable 10 knots everywhere. Developing Friday evening northwest 15 knots but 25 knots in north. Rising for a time Saturday northwest 25 knots but 35 knots in north with very rough sea. Becoming late Sunday southwest 10 knots everywhere.

the "very rough sea" might be need a little bit of a look at

The bike will be the last thing to go over the side.....we have a plan for that though, our homebrew is in plastic bottles and as we finish them we will lash them to the Dommie just in case.

I feel like you might need to be reminded there is a previously established system for crossing cook straight because obviously you have forgotten ;p

Sounds like it will be quite the adventure.

Ha ha, yes we go out of our way to do things unconventionally in our neighborhood.
also its an exercise in frugality, how little can it cost to get a bike home from New Plymouth? I know it costs over $400 to ply one way NN to NP at short notice

Yes I'm trying to get hold of someone at the cruising club, we've got a similar one at French Pass which means I get to finish off with a nice gravel ride home.
