I didn't see the venue ... or the menu.
Atheism and Religion are but two sides of the same coin.
One prefers to use its head, while the other relies on tales.
They have instigated: a 90kph restriction on at least one passing lane. Doh!
There are double no passing lines on a series of blind corners and then none .Is this supposed to indicate to morons that it is safe to pass around the latter blind corners?
The people responsible for the desecration of our roads need to be removed from their positions. The results that are observable on our roads indicate the presence and products of gormless twits.

oops, apparantly it's Jellicoe street!
FFS people, at least hear what they have to say instead of just blowing it off. Who knows, maybe you can talk rationally to the transport people who the people who make the decisions about critical policy that will affect us all and get them round to our point of view......
I also want to repost Professor Charlie Lamb's report about causal factors in Multi vehicle Motor accidents for those who want to paint it black.....

Admirable sentiment and perhaps possible. Butt Knot in our lifetime.
have you not noticed all of the groups who have tried to "talk" rationally and sensibly to these sorts of people in positions where they make decisions that affect Us does not , yet, work. At any level.
Go along and try though, by all means.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
Their web site says "On Thursday 22nd March motorcyclists can stop for coffee, buns and muffins from 6am - 9am at the Fish Market, Wynyard Quarter. "

There were no lectures or talks (although I did leave right after I ate breakfast ...). There was a roulette wheel you could spin to win things. The Rock radio station was there doing some self promotion.
The Auckalnd Transport People walked around making polite conversation, and overall the experience was pleasant.
I chose not to wear a high-viz fluro vest, and nobody made Auckland Transport made any mention of it. However one biker claiming to be a motorcycle instructor had me up about it.
I explained to fim the findings of the MAIDs report, the Auckland Uni report, and spoke about the findings of the "Invisible Gorilla" experiment, and as a result why I don't feel hig-viz makes much difference. Then I asked him to explain why he thought it helped. He didn't come up with any reasons, and his conversation stopped there.
But overall very enjoyable, and I would attend again if I could.
I've just got back as well. Numbers were light, but there was plenty of representation from Auckland Transport, and that gave me a good opportunity to have a good conversation with Hanna & Peter. I gave them a copy of the Lamb Report, and discussed the following:
- All users (Cars bikes, cylces) need to share the road. (No Us & Them)
- Bikers should be presented as real people (Humanise the person behind the helmet, so motorists do not just think of "that bloody biker"
- We should be allowed to use motorway bus lanes to eliminate the need to lane split
- I pointed out that Tram tracks are bad for bikes & cycles.
- I pointed out that bikers appreciated the free use of council car park buildings, but more free bike parks need to be established, and that perhaps we should be allowed to use the footpath for parking so long as it is unobtrusive and does not block foot traffic.
- I asked them to liase with NZTA about the use of headlight modulators and to loosen up the requirements on vehicle running lights.
All was taken on board and they appreciated the feedback. It was also good to see the David Clendon, MP for the Green party was also there participating in the event.
Well done Auckland Transport, and thanks for the Advanced Rider Training vouchers.

I was there from 0725 to 0815. I think it was very beneficial for the Auckland Transport staff as they got to speak to real people, about day to day life as a motorcyclist.
There were no lectures about safety, but a relaxed opportunity to exchange ideas and concepts.
Thanks to Auckland Transport for the free feed and for listening.![]()
