    Question for bikers without cars

I understand there are a few people out there who have only bikes, and no cars in their household.
What do you do for shopping? And general running around?

The missus might be selling her car and getting a little scooter, and the mind boggles how one does a weeks worth of shopping with only two bikes two ferry it home.

Um more trips to the supermarket, I use panniers and an tramping pack, and remember put your eggs at the top

I got rid of my car years ago and for the odd time I really need one I take a cab or borrow a mates, even getting the odd taxi is far cheaper than paying warrant and rego and insurance for a car that doesn't get a lot of use as i'd much rather ride my bike. : )

A large top box fitted to the carrier. A custom mounting frame may be needed for this. But it's no big issue. And scooters are cheap to run ... two trips ...

yea.. i only have bikes eh. I have a backpack, plus magnetic tank bag that extends out and holds a fair bit. could prob carry 3 supermarket plastic bags worth home but I generally shop every 2nd or 3rd day and pick up supplies. ya can't do a big stock up obviously.

Walk every day/2nd day to the supermarket because my thighs are getting fucking fat

If I do get shit, I just use my old schoolbag and fill that up. Doesn't hold much, but I don't shop for a whole week as I'll eat it all in 4 days.
Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

I carry small things in the seat cowl, bigger things in my backpack and even bigger things on the fuel tank. I once carried a 10kg bag of chicken feed home on the fuel tank.

Crotch rockets are awesome for carrying things on because the large, flat fuel tank has enough room to fit some pretty big things, and I can keep it into place with my elbows while cornering.
