I've reread this thread a few times (yes sad i know but there is no good movies on tonite). I think that if nonplussed did indeed give a more accurate description of their involvement with this bike & engineering knowledge then maybe instead of it turning into a shooting match, the real issue would have been addressed. That would be that bikes are being sold from this vendor (albeit at $1 reserves) with incomplete & sometimes inaccurate descriptions. That is fine if they're going to be wrecked for parts but to mislead someone that they are buying a bike that may have structural damage is not a good look.
Maybe the next time around some more information initially may save someone from buying a lemon.
