    Burning smell after short ride

Bike doesn't smell too good after only like a 10-15min ride.

I give the ol exhaust a good whiff and it doesn't smell right ay, smell like it's burning or something, i've checked the oil level it's fine.

I did ride in like torential rain on the weekend and sat on like 8-9krevs coming back from hamilton sunday night....think I broke it shit!

    You mean Harleys mate,

You probably had some mud/dirt caked onto the midpipe, I wouldnt be overly worried about it, if it gets worse remove the tank and make sure there are no wires or cables pinched against the head or cylinders (just a matter of taking the pillion seat off, pulling the red knob and removing the riders seat and one bolt (14mm off the top of my head).
Have a peer inside the fairings as well to make sure they havnt been pressed against the pipe, could be burning paint,
Even a bit of leaked oil.

    Oops...er..ahhhehehe. Sorry.

The last time I smelled something kinda "burny" from my bike, it turned out to be one of the pair of Stebel magnums I had fitted. The bracket had broken and the horn had fallen onto the exhaust pipe, way down there on the inside of the fairing where you couldn't see it. Horn was totally fucked by the time we found it...

It sounds like you need to change your indicator fluid, water must have got in there and contaminated it.

I have heard if water gets into the powerband ... it makes a funny smell. Especially the red ones ...

For the love of god dont buy a Hyo 650. Half the power of modern 600 sports bikes, and almost identical to the Hyo250. And increased rego costs as it is over 600cc. I cant think of a single reason why someone would buy one over the competition.
Dont get me wrong, I think Hyosung make a good bike, but they dont offer anything decent over 250.

You may have done what I did, which was ride through some roadworks and get a splotch of tarry asphalt shit splattered on the headers. Stank to high hell and was a prick of a thing to clean off.

Out of curiosity, how far along the rev range is 8-9 grand on a 250 Hyosung?
