    1200 Custom question

Does anybody know if the forward controls on a 2001 1200 Sportster Custom can be removed an replaced with mid mount controls without needing to change the exhaust ?

    Thanks.

My 1200 has what I would consider to be mid mount pegs.... I can see the tips of my toes but that is all. They are a little bit forward, but not much which is great for short legs and makes a huge difference for cornering. YES cornering my Harley hauls ass on the corners!

You don't have one yet? Go to KTL and talk to Dave - he has some great ideas, and was very helpful to me when I bought my Sportster. There are heaps of things that can be done easily to make the bike fit you - pegs, handlebars, seats etc
