    See a lot of stuff like that down here....sometimes it is my bike/helmet left like that.

    A shame you can't do that all over NZ
    Winding up drongos, foil hat wearers and over sensitive KBers for over 14,000 posts...........

    I personally wouldn't want to ride in another person's helmet anyway. Though that's a fair amount of trust that the guy has to leave it out there in such an area

    Perhaps it's booby trapped? 500 grams of semtex attached to a pressure sensor?

    I walked past this bike again today as I had an excuse to go to that part of town (photography assignment) and had a good close look.

    The D rings on the chinstrap were attached to a small wire loop that disappeared under the pillion seat. So it was locked after all


    That said, it could be leading to a semtex shaped charge......
