I have a set of "one free with every grandfather clock" type (ie cheap and nasty) Ventura throw overs if you want to experience it Frosty. Done the business for us over the years for sure!

Not waterproof (or any proof any more) but the price is right!

what happened to the good old bungy???

you can still get them ..right???

the lost art of rolling a pack of cigs in your sleve.

motor cycle nomads.....

the cigs can be lit off the pipes....(no room for matches)

pre cooked sauages can be cooked...
DON"T PUT YOUR CHOCY BISICUTS THERE though!!!!

On a trip away I have:
Two borrowed panier bags thrown across the pillion seat.
A back pack strapped to the pillion seat.
Plus sometimes a back pack on my back - depending on how long I'm away.
A borrowed tank bag.

I have in the past put on the back of my bike a few things, that I figured would be ok... and I got them home safely.

A child's car seat.
A old fashioned wooden highchair.
A dehumidifier.
A weed eater.
A spare front wheel.
My tool box.
Huge boxes full of stuff.

I even carry all my grocery shopping on the bike as well.

Hey if it fits on the bike then I put it on the bike. No need to take the car.

Well matey all will be revealed in good time.The ol xj is just so darned comfortable and easy to ride its hard to part with her.But Im thinking I need something a bit more modern.
Riding with a certain um trash person a couple of months back The limitations of the bike meant I was working a shit load harder than I should have been.Sure its pretty satisfying blitzing guys on more modern/powerful machinery -(being honest most modern 400's are putting out better HP than the XJ and easily out handle it) but it really is hard work needing a lot of body english.
