Bike Rally at New Zealand Grand Prix 2013?

    Hi Dean from Motorcycling Canterbury,
I'm considering putting on a bike rally for our next NZGP in 2013 and was keen for some ideas and feedback ?
    What will i need

    Toilets
    Showers
    Food
    Beer Tent
    tent site
    Sercurity
    Band
Friday ride the track or Drag strip?
Saturday ride out to Cust to ride the old road race track beers coffee back via gorge?
What cost bracket will you want to pay?
    Cheers Dean

Hi Dean, if it's anything like any of the tracks Ive been to in the North Island, somewhere secure for stuff like helmuts and bikes etc would be the top of my list.

about bloody time.. if you were to set up a bike rally in the paddock next to ruapuna race track for any of the races it would be a sell out. everyone i know who rides in chch and does the bike rally thing and watches the races always wonders why it aint been done yet.. if you do it you will be onto a winner..

come on Dean, less talk more action... ;-)

Given that the GP itself is usually mid-Sunday afternoon you might want to have the Rally venue available on Sunday night too for those who don't want to rush home. Might get interest from further afield then. Even from the other island.

Yes i agree, we will have a helmet and jacket storage for riders who come to watch racing for a small fee, but are you asking for that for the rally people ?
