i have no idea how the Husky system works...
but the GM speedway motors don't have oil pumps..
    How they work...
the crankcase is a seal unit with a one way valve in the lowest point
there is a oil tank/chamber on the left side of the motor that the cam chain
runs from..the oil level in that chamber is above the crank... the cam chain
carrys the oil to the top end and sprays it over the cam etc...
as for the mains/big end...the crank has a hole though it to the main/crank pin
being a seald crank case as the piston goes up it creates a vacum in the crank case
that sucks the oil from the oil chamber though the crank to the big end & gets
thowen from the big end to lube the right main.."left main is in the oil chamber"
oil that collects in the crank case is then force through the one way valve at
the bottom thats tubed back to the oil chamber as the piston comes back down..
oil from the top end runs back down the cam chain tunnel to the oil chamber...

sound a bit micky mouse..but it works...have never seen one seize...
There are a couple of company's that use the GM speedway motor
in road base hy-breeds..they just fit a bigger remote oil tank..& they
    run for ever...
    Pete

90% of all Harleys built are still on the road... The other 10% made it back home...
Ducati... Makeing riders into mechaincs since 1964...

i was told today that while doing wheelies this causes the bike to get hot and then shit it self. But after looking tru google it seems that the duel sport has 2 oil pumps so maybe the info i got was refering to the off road model

I read of one husky 4 stroke engine (along time ago) that was based on a two stroke bottom end - all roller crank so able to get by on oil mist lubrication, and lubrication to the top end was, as pete-blen says, carried up by the cam chain to splash around the top end then drain down to the lower end
Don't know how it worked, and it was a long time ago.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

It was the early Husaberg models that did not have oil pumps not husqvarna.
Here for a good time, not necessarily a long time

Still a pretty cool looking bike though, IMO.

Mark is right....I have a Te610 2008. Easy enough to get the Burg and the Husky confused...Both from Sweden, much like Abba and Bjorn Borg, almost the same.....NOT!

There's bugger all of em in NZ, so not many opinions here. Being a shade under 600cc is a very good thing from a rego standpoint & they have a few other good points too. I do remember hearing of some minor engine work, (camchain or something) required around the 20-30K mark to avoid the engine grenading.

    Cheers
