It shouldn't do mate. Come down and spend an afternoon on our demo. You may be surprised.

I am a an dedicated racer with a Daytona 675 for Bears and a Gsxr 1000 for everything else - in the real world I ride an 06 Busa that I have done 54.000 kms on. I think I am qualified to comment.....

The Busa is a do everything bike, it will commute to work without fuss, you can go drag racing on it, it will two up tour and two up fang better than anything else I have ridden in 30yrs trying allsorts , once you understand how to set it up and how to ride it, even in the tight stuff (real world) it will take a way commited rider on a sport 600 to get away from you. The Busa is a really easy and forgiving bike to ride, the thou is more focused and not so forgiving, if some one without a broad range of experience were chosing between the Busa and the Thou, they shoud choose the Busa.........

    My two cents........

All true. Hey...I can ride a GSXR1000 over things like the Tukas quicker than I can the Busa. But I don't want to go that fast on public roads. I can hussle the Busa more than quick enough on twisty roads. In comfort. Then blow a GSXR1000 into the weeds if the road opens up. In comfort. They're smooth...and a big pussy cat. Untill you pull the pin. Best road bike I've ever ridden.

Interesting comments. Will definitely bear in mind.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

Yep a Daytona 675 (with the R bit) would be a great trackbike and a Hayabusa powerful but well mannered on the road. I used to do 400km trips with a 30 min coffee break in the middle and manage without too much discomfort.... and that was under one tank of gas too.

Comparing with Hayabusa to a GSX1000R I felt more planted on the road on the Busa and certainly more comfortable being over 6ft and 100kgs.

The latter model is certainly a nice looker too. I would love to see a revamp but I doubt that will happen anytime soon if history is anything to go by (or the economy).

I only got that doing a gentle cruise no more than 110km/h from North Auckland to Taupo.

It was a different story at the track or on a quick blat.
