    Bugger.

Typical Stuff - read it and everyone will think it was the bike riders fault.

I'm always riding around there, was over there Saturday. I'll agree with comments re passing by some riders on that road, the thing I think about most riding around there before I pass a car: is there room if another bike is coming the other way at speed? Unfortunately others don't think that way ......

Oddly enough earlier this morning a bunch of bikes headed pass my house going that way followed 15 minutes later by a ambo and my wife commented 'they did not get far'!

Apparently the rider was take to hospital by helo and is currently in a serious condition.

The only thing I know to be facts are; the car was towing a trailer, the driver either did not see or did not look, and the rider is a mess. There is a lot of rumour and speculation surrounding the rest of the information about this according to informed sources.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

The car had a trailer and I'm told it was a local boy driving , evidently he pulled out of a paddock and it was a T boner with the Harley ...BANG !

Some issues with no license and wof but it's only hearsay from me ...
Bugger. I spoke with this guy in the bakery before he left to head back. He commented about the other dickheads on bikes overtaking on dangerous corners too. P.S. to the guy on the B-King. Lucky I didn't find you or I would have smashed your face for that dangerous overtaking putting me and my mates at risk. Maybe it should have been you who crashed to give us safe riders a warning.......

24 December 2009 (christmas eve)- Had to bury a really top bloke and amazing rider because of a guy in a 4 wheel drive doing exactly the same thing as this young kid. Heartbreaking!! I have just spoken to Ted who actually saw the car come out of the driveway, pull over to the side of the road and then without indication execute the U-turn. The young guy driving did not have a licence. My thoughts are with the motorcyclist and his family. Unfortunately toughing up the licence test isnt going to prevent idiots like this getting behind the wheel and taking out other innocent road users. Stay safe out there everyone.
Winding up old men on cruisers and "computer bikers" since 2008......... LMAO

In the Waikato. Gary Watson. Amazing guy, incredibly talented rider also one of the safest/ most careful riders I knew. His death was a huge loss to all who knew him. The world is a less bright place because he's gone. I actually have a laminated pic of Gary in my leathers and he always with me when I ride..... Not sure he'd be cool about riding pillion to a chick lol - but it's a Ducati so I'm sure he's found a way of accepting it lol. RIP Gary - miss your riding advice everyday mate.
