VMCC ride request: Anyone have a spare bike in the shed?

    Ladies and gents,

The 650cc F3 beast I’m making is still "in the making" (and will be for probably most of winter) I’m seeking a ride (2 wheeled type) for the up and coming VMCC series.

    What I'm asking for:
Road race bike to use for the VMCC season, size/class doesn't matter - long as its legal for a class! Preference is bigger is better but beggars can’t be choosers

    What I have:
I have everything else for a season of racing; transponder, stands, warmers, tools, ride gear etc.

Obviously if someone is willing to provide a bike, tires, entry fees, brolly dolly and VIP suite at the track that’s fantastic, however I’m more than happy to cover the racing costs.....I just don't have a machine!

Im happy to come to the ‘prep’ party on pretty much anything too, bike maintenance, storage of the bike plus gear and if it helps I live 30secs from Manfield so can store other bikes or even accommodate people as we have 4 spare bedrooms.

I have raced 50s,150s,250s,400s,450s,600s and coach for the California Superbike school on GSXR750s. Those who know me know ill ride anything in shape or size fairly well, for those who don't do contact me for my racing/bike history and winning stats….

Contact me via this site, email or txt 021 866 345/neil.chappell@nzdf.mil.nz

    Many thanks

OH YES!!! I did moonlight on the mighty dommy, that was AWESOME.

the bucket may be my best option.... however the 150 struggled with my mass!!

When you out on the dommy next?

I'm setting my VJ23 up for the new 90's carby class in Superlights.
Would be good to see someone fast push it along, rather than just Me touring on it.

Just a thought... if you have no better offers, we could talk.

    Racey.

That would be seriously wicked - do you have spare rims, because one of those on slicks would be AMAZING.

What needs doing to it? my track record with VJ23's is NOT amazing, yours must be nicely sorted if its lasted this long.

Talk we shall - in fact ill PM you, Im of course keen for bigger capacity bikes ( due to my size ) but those 23s are awesome machines.

I meant to state that my record is NOT great, but the bikes are wicked, the VJ23 had the aprilia motor, 90 degree v twin great grunt but handled awesome.

Or you could just let him ride your bike mate.

You know who you need to talk to Nelly , make the call buddy , it can only be a no or a yes.

PS , Neil is a very good rider and in the last few years has really become something , anyone with a bike would be letting a balanced rider and a big thinker have a chance at the series.

    And make the call Neil.

The years are catching up with your brain cells my friend.

The Aprilia had the same 90 degree motor as the VJ22.

The VJ23 had the new 70 degree motor, which gives it more mid range punch.

Pity you're not in Auckland, my Sv650 is just sitting here at the moment, with the occasional track day blast. Hope you find a bike mate!
Rest in peace Tony - you will be missed.
