Did you notice it rained INSIDE the Homer tunnel too ... ???

Knights point (that pic of the rocky sea coast) is well known to us in this area. The conditions change so much ... it's always a good stopping point. That and there are toilets there ...

Rain in the tunnel was the least of things I was looking out for. Trolls, Dragons and Witches were top on my list.

I found that I had completely lost track of my elevation. When it just kept going down, I figured we would come out at Sea level. I was wrong.

A universal dream of greatness is that
We push ourselves to the limit
Yet still be brilliant when the chips are down.
Sometimes , The struggle kills the dream.

That Avatar of your is bloody hilarious by the way. Reminds me of a cartoon at work, guy is meeting his boss and he's wearing dark shades and has a t-shirt that says "Get Fucked" on the front. His boss is saying to him "I've noticed a changed in your attitude since the restructuring Smith".

Awesome story bro, those west coast roads are some of the best on the country and I bet you couldn't believe the lack of traffic once out of the cities.

Don't spread the word too much we'd like to keep it like that.

Awesome read dude, glad you enjoyed it, bloody great little country this. Maybe next time you come back you could do a bit of off road riding and see some even better country.

But when I think of it now. It doesn't seem like the brightest thing to do. That tends to happen to sometimes when you get on two wheels.

At the same time we think you guys are nuts for white lining. We'd get killed doing that here.
Great read. Thanks for the reminder that although its not perfect we do have some good stuff.

As for your passing providing there wasn't a yellow line on the left of the centre line it was legal, well at least until you decided to go 3 abreast I suspect if Mr Rider checks the NZTA web site he will find he is only allowed to pass in a passing lane providing someone else, like the van, isn't already using that lane, you are allowed to pass to the left of the yellow line on your side of the centre line providing you have 100m visibility throughout and there is no oncoming traffic in that lane, umm wonder whom that last bit could be referring to?

You must include the North Island next time A.
