What I'm saying is some see speeding as dangerous, others as straightening a piece of road. I personally don't give a flying fuck what you think about my riding skills. Because they're actually pretty good and safe. I'll never see turning unnessasary curves into a straight as dangerous. Good for you if you do. But telling me I can't ride for shit for doing so is more than arrogant in my eyes.
na, dont take that personaly... you were an example I cant comment on your riding as I havent seen it and I dont doubt you know you know what ya doing for a second.
Its the young ones that read your post and they think they can do it with out the skill you have. Either way I wont do it delibratly and If I do then Im out of control (I fuck up)
Do you remember this

You rebel you, 'spose you recommend it to the riders you sell Harleys to.
What I noticed with the video is how far the van had moved to the edge of the road but the biker still ran well wide over the no-passing line - crazy. The offending biker looked like he was on some sort of Jap cruiser or old custom.

Hey a sore point to raise I know, two very much admired and missed gents... but by what you say is they wernt "intelligent chaps"
By all acounts they were, thus showing the need to never cut or cross any corner delebritly (not saying in that case it was) cos a head on is inpossable if all are on the correct side of the road... now no one can argue that one, so why the hell take the chance.

I wouldnt recommend being on the wrong side with no option to get back to safety if required. On a road like that its possible another fast rider or sports car could reach you faster than you could expect.
The people on this site that say they dont mind straightening roads do so most likely when they have a clear view of whats coming unlike the guy in video footage.
Riding within your ability is the most important thing and everyone has a differnt skill level. When they exceed their PERSONAL skill level then they are taking risks. Most would agree if they dont know their own ability then they wont make a good judgement in reguards to safety.
My personal view is idd rather stay on my own side and the guy on his motard could have just as much fun riding the whole esses which may require being a bit slower at the corners he cut through.Idd say he and his mate should have set guidlines to making a at speed recording that they ride on their own side.It seems to me a bit of recording red mist was going on with his ride.
As for the guy passing on the outside of a blind corner. What a muppet.Maybe he thought the driver had moved to the side and waved him through then moved over on him.
I have evolved as a KB member. Now nothing I say should be taken seriously.
