The most boring bike

Most boring bike I've owned would be a 1984 Suzuki GSX1100E. It didn't do anything badly, but wasn't all that great either. It just did exactly what was asked of it.

Was that the "D" model? I found the "E" model with the 16 inch front wheel exciting - for all the wrong reasons.

Amazingly enough it did !!
They were tough motors those 3V 250N's.

Yes, the ED not the EE. I traded it on a Katana 1100 wire wheel that is now owned by a well know KBer in Taupo. Now that bike was NOT boring.

Hyosung GT250N - Mind you, it was a 2003 model, so very old and wasn't well-cared for, so it may not have performed up to spec, but generally I found it heavy, lazy and uncomfortable. But that's just me...

I think the OP's first post is slightly contradictory. The camry of bikes I reckon has to be the Hornet CB900. It does whatever you want, when you want, awfully reliable etc. I guess it's kinda boring?

Brilliant at nothing really, but crap at nothing, guess it's what makes it brilliant?

Fair call. Hornet 900's are great machines.

I guess I should have just left out the Toyota reference and just said ridden/owned that are unexciting and boring.
Just interesting different people's experiences / opinions.

But...I honestly don't think Ive owned a boring bike....Ive always managed to either have lots of fun or get into lots of trouble! on every bike Ive owned or riden?
...I like bikes!...any kind of bike!!, just as long as its got 2 wheels, handlebars and some fuel in the tank...Im happy

...cars on the other hand!...stupid bloody design!...boooooriiiing! (And I kerb grind the shit out of em ...V8s have promise...but nothin like a bike!)



There are "special bikes" tho...like my old "PhatGirll" (but I don't need to explain that to most of u lot )

Hyo GT250R. Took one for a test ride. Engine was dull and lifeless. Not sure if that was bike specific or all models are like that.


And corollas aren't boring!

havent come across a bike I've found boring yet..

maybe your all doing it wrong..

.. if it seems boring, pull over - find some mushrooms growin nearby, ingest, then try riding the bike again. If no change repeat earier steps until experience and excitement level improves.

i've ridden few bikes, but the most boring of the 5 was a replica Royal Enfield Bullet 500, but in saying that it looked so nice.

Most boring bike I've owned was a KLX250. Handled like a KX, but an XR185 would kick sand in your face.

Most boring bike I've ever ridden? Draw between a CX400 Euro, and an XZ400.
