If one leg has a green arrow then there will no conflicting traffic whatsoever* It doesn't matter whether you know they have a green arrow or not because when they do you will be either faced with a red light or a give way sign. Give way signs mean give way and that hasn't changed in the past week.

*If there is conflicting traffic when a green arrow is being shown then there is a serious problem with the signals.

There is no conflict here. The traffic turning left are now faced with an intersection where they have to give way to traffic on their right. It doesn't matter where that traffic has come from it is on their right on a straight piece of road and they must give way to it.

The simple rule is "Give way to your right. Give way when turning right."

Bike and car both turning off main road into a side street. Car turning right with a green arrow traffic light. Bike turning left at a give-way sign (left turn not controlled by the traffic lights).

Who has right of way? The person turning left into the side street? Or the car turning right with the green arrow?

If the latter, I could not see whether they had an arrow, or whether they were turning on a normal green light. Anyone?

You (on a bike) should give way because right or wrong if there is an overlap you (on a bike) will loose the most skin.

    That one there..
I think that is an example of people looking for 'loopholes' in the new rules when a bit of commonsense or defensive/courteous/self preservation driving is in order.
    No offense to the maggot.

I THINK the answer here is that the left turner gives way, because at the point where conflict occurs they are actually merging with a lane, not turning, the act of turning didn't cause a conflict.

Bwahahahahaha. First time I have ever seen give way signs. Where I come from green flashing arrow has right of way, opposing traffic lights should be red. As others stated I agree. Feeder lane with give way must give way.

The traffic island makes it a new road, even if its only big enough for two people to stand on, so giveway to cars from right
