When did we change from Moto-X Fox to fox, and where's Go the Rat

A bike prep day in the garage....

A few beers... some abba to acdc and everything in between on the stereo and i had an interesting question put to me that i cant answer by the youngest of my tribe..

He was looking at my old gear and photo's and asked me when the name changed from moto cross fox to just plain fox I realised when i still get fox gear i call it moto x fox by default.

    Another pointless one who remembers....

If my fading memory is to be believed 1982/83 was when they deleted the Moto-X, and became Fox. Phil the original SportsPro owner will know as he used to screen print some of there jersey's under license on Barry's Point Rd/
Go the Rat was a catch phrase for the Aussi brand Rat this was very popular in Aussi from 1982-89, The Yamaha Toshiba dealer team, Kawasaki Aus, and State Team riders wore the gear.
There are numerous Brands from the 70/80s that have faded into memories, some are still around or been reborn. eg
    Hallman- now known as THOR
    JT now reborn
    Yoko- still going in europe
M-Robert was huge in europe in the 80's gone now
    AXO- now made in China
    O'Neal, Answer still going
My Favorite Sinisalo still going strong was the choice for GP riders in the 70-80's , you can still pick it up on Ebay in UK/Europe.
WE Kiwi's follow the US market/magazines so that's what we want to buy.
