    YZ125 engine parts

Can anyone advise me if engine parts (piston/ring/gaskets etc) from an 02 YZ125 would fit an 07 YZ125?
I see from the interweb that the part numbers are different but the parts look the same?

    Thanks

most of the parts diagrams look the same, but things like compression ratios, pin height etc can be different, if the part numbers are different then usually the parts are different,

i am pretty sure yamaha did the last full update on the YZ125 in 05, so would be suprised if the piston is the same before that,

Thanks Scott, looks like most parts are different but there are a few that are still using the same part numbers.

So, I've got a stash of 2002 OEM Yamaha parts for a YZ125 p version. 90% in original packaging.
Gaskets galore, 4 base, 2 crankcase,3 cover, 3 clutch cover, 2 water pump, exhaust and power valve.
A piston (B) and 2 rings, 2 wrist pins. Front and rear brake pads. Clutch perch.
Rear spring (K=4.8). Front fork springs (.42) to fit yz250f... but may fit 125?
Also got a service manual and a parts catalogue. No idea on current value.

If anyone out there has an 02 YZ125 and wants a box of bits for a fair offer, PM me.

    +1.
bore/stroke ratio may have changed, pin height obviously is very important.

a quick google lets you know part numbers and you can do a quick cross reference as to which parts will match up.

chuck an advert up on here, its free and Id bet someone would have a use for them for a future rebuild
