LED indicators - help please!

Hey, Im looking to install a pair of LED indicators on the front of my '08 SV650s (a pair of these: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=462685007), though want to keep the stock pair of indicators on the back. How will the flash speed be affected? Has anyone done this same thing? Will I be able to get away with not having a relay to correct the speed, or is there a significant difference in speed to the original flasher speed of having stock indicators back and front? Cheers

I did the opposite ie stock on front and led on rear and needed to use a resistor . Without it both sets of indicators flashed too quickly.

Yeap, you'll need one load resistor per LED indicator, and wire it in parallel.

Yes your flash speed will be affected. as for the new relay one of the nz importers does these your local bike shop should be able to give you a price, this is a much better option than fitting resistors.

If you don't want to use a resistor, you can put in a new relay that isn't affected by the load. If you decide later on that you want LED's on the back however you'll need to get another relay suitable for LED's as they won't have enough load.

You can buy from Supercheese a Tridon HD12 non load sensitive indicator relay. $17. I have just done this to my project bike so I know it works well. The specific SV650 fitment non load sensitive will be the best option tho if it is available. Don't piss about adding resistors etc, there is no point.
