Chain and sprocket advice - KX500?

Still running the original sprockets and a DID 'O' Ring from new on my low hour last model KX5 , Bike's only done 45hrs but looks like they all need replacing, soon.

I'm keeping the std gearing , what's available for a KX500 for Sprockets and Chains , I'd rather spend a little more and get quality product .

Longevity rather than weight saving is important , availability is a factor as well I guess

+1 for the X-ring chain, Renthal do a twin ring rear sprocket steel outer with alloy inner best of both worlds. Check on there site for fitment for the KX5.

Renthal only do the twinring style for the rear, so you still have to run the ally front, which never last very long at the best of times.
Supersprox do a twinring style rear sprocket, and a steel front. I use those and get 100+ hours out of a set. Price is the same as renthal. About 200 for the rear, 30-40 for the front. Seems expensive, but when combined with a good chain you will get a huge number of hours out of the set, and considering how much you have ridden the 5 in the past few years would equate to years of drivetrain life.
Any shop should be able to get Supersprox stuff, it is distributed by Nationwide Accessories.

big KX rear sprockets, (125 and up) have been the same since they went to disc rear brakes, so the sprockets should not be a problem to get,

the fronts are comman among other models as well
