A couple of mates have had these , one was an earlier version , it leaked oil and had it's radiator replaced under warranty, that one was sold at around the 10,000 km mark , The other was a sightly newer version which the owner had no problems with in 70,000 km , ended on trading it on a Daytona which has also done a ton of km's with no issue. From a pillion point of veiw the ST isn't as good as an XJ , you tend to sit higher on the ST , I've been on both when one of my bikes expired a few years ago.

    Thumbs up yessss!

I presume you mean the ST. I am on my third in three years and have travelled about 40,000 ks of trouble-free riding. My first was a 99, second an 01 and in April I bought the new 05 model. There was no question of what I was going to buy when I decided to upgrade. In my opinion ya can't beat 'em. Of course the 05 is the best of them all, but still I went for a blast on my 01 last week and was very surprised that I still enjoyed the ride even after doing 6,000 kays on my new one.... I might add, that this is for sale.... $13,000. 22,000 kms. Brittish Racing Green.

    Go for it matey.

Nice bikes Frosty [don't let Big Dave know I said this]. A good step from the trusty XJ900. Down side is the chain maintenance I guess. Sound like tractors at idle, so I guess they could be refered to as agricultural There's an outfit down south importing spares from the land of the rising sun I beleive. Take one for a blat, they're very easy to ride. Oh and it's a non-japper so you'll get a big hug from the bad bikey scum and other bikers with an anti jap chip on their shoulders.
