Why are Americans so stupid?
Went for a tiki tour out to akaroa today with me father in-law what a blast! Will definetly do that road more often nice mixture of fast and slow corners but a few fck wits about tho.
I did however put the busa down day before yesterday..... Pulling into budget motorspares going maybe running speed, lightly on the front brakes and the front went out from under me was a bit of liquifactoin and grit in the gutter/drivewaywas roughly my emotional experience after the fact. Scratched my precious busa only 6 days after owning it......
Massive wack to the confidence there. The guy from the shop came out and was confused as to why it had happened came out to check my tyre pressure and it was at 45psi!!!!!???? Why on earth was it so high???? He reakoned grit and sand combined with the tyre pressure was why it went over. As i had like tank slap up in the hills the other day under heavy braking which was odd i thought. Well bike feels a heap load more planted and stable with the pressure at 35. I came away all good bike came down on me foot broken big toe (i think) and a bruised heel so meh. BUT MY PRECIOUS BUSA!!! it was spotless before the fallAH well such is life eh.

4 seconds on Google reports that your manual recommends 42 psi front and rear. Hate to rain on your excuses but a few extra psi would have about as much influence on this situation as what you had for lunch last Tuesday. A year ago.
But, shit happens. Lots of people drop at least one bike at very low speed, I have.

Slightly longer read however and most people find it slightly unstable at such high pressures for street riding and go for 35/38 -38/40 But again wouldn't of happened if i didn't touch the breaks.
Yes unfortunatly i haven't drop my hyobag or honda both of which i did 10/15k kms on and would have much rather dropped those two. and the honda a rode it like a stole it (which means i kept up with most traffic lol)

Do a Google search for a user manual download.
Tyre pressure is a personal thing IMO. If 35psi feels better than 45 did and the manual suggests 42, maybe try it at 40? I always run the rear 2psi lower than the front, could be between 38/40 & 40/42 depending on my mood. Higher for touring & lower for scratching is my general rule of thumb but that's just me

I currently run BT016's on my Busa cause I like them, have run Dunlops and Michelen, and as of sunday have put 57,400 kms behind it, and my Busa gets a workout in the tight stuff more than most do- as a general rule: 38 rear/36 front one up and 40 rear/38 front two up. Tyre shop people are not the best guide, nor is Google. You need to get your information from Busa based people- pm me and i'll help you get sorted. Am planning on getting in some testing friday afternoon at Ruapuna (not on the Busa though), drop by and say hi
Speed kills-just ask the rabbit......
