There's some FB groups - Capital Riders and Wall... - sorry Wellington Riders plus Chicken Strips for those who - er were/are banned from Wel Riders

Oh and Wellington Bike Parking which strangely enjoys quite an international group of racers plus locals. I'm admin for them so will accept your fd request
Yes.....Fang might be a better description to describe our battles with the elements! Unfortunately, it sounds very calm outside today so I guess I'll have to settle for a ride.
There are also plenty of clubs: Hogs, Rats, Beemers, Ulys and BRONZ. Ratti off this site organises the beginner rides although Tuesdays have just finished. (Assuming you are riding a 250 as a beginner an not because you like a challenge with motorway traffic).

Commuting in Welly is not riding, it's an adventure to see if the weather or the cagers get you first. It's still better than the public transport alternative though.
Riding in Wellington is awesome and theres plenty of friendly buggers to ride with. Plus we have the Rimutaka hill.
