Couldn't agree with you more Paul. Getting to the stage where we do need to leave some bait carefully watched.

Well you are the guy with all the best bait!

But I really wouldnt talk about it here either.

A low mileage tridents a funny thing to knick - hard to dispose of here I'd of thought but bloody easy in say aussie or the UK. You would need to be well organised to do that.

All of the bikes so far knicked are that different that I'm pretty sure they'll be heading back overseas. NZ is too small for such things.

Both stolen from the same "secure" lockup?! Sorry but if that bit is correct it raises too many questions about the lockup. I presume both were therefore out of sight within a locked building so the thieves would have had to know they were there.
I hope I got that wrong.

It's pretty easy to come to that conclusion yes. Doesn't mean it's correct...but...

Yeah, before anyone blames the lockup operator it might be a case of the thieves having the lockup operation illegally monitored themselves. Easy to spot a nice bike goes in, people leave but bike doesn't. The operator of the lockup facility would/should be worried for their own businesses sake.

Sounds like an inside job to me.

Tell the rozza you are about to start your own investigation and see if that gets them out of the donut shop.

I am sorry to read this and sympahtize with the owners when they ask for balls to be cut.

I hear the words that always say that bikes (and cars) stolen in NZ are going overseas. As I have never exported a bike or car from NZ, just packagng machines (that does not have any registration or ownership papers) I wonder how it can be done soo easy? Are they taken in to small bits and exported? Or is there no control?

May the bridges I burn light the way.
