    4km tolerance!

I gather the 4kmh over is in force this long weekend, must be as I've been clocking the popo doing up to 156kmh to catch up to some poor sod's doing just 6kmh over, all captured for my video collection (yes I have a radar gun)

I can confirm there is not a tolerance of 21km today at least the popo let me off with not having a L plate (doesnt 35 demerits for no L plate seem very over the top for anyone else?)

Had a laugh a few years back. I told some people I stopped and was writing invoices for on a public holiday that there was a 15% surcharge for the public holiday.

They laughed too when they realised I wuz joshing, but the shock on the faces made for a funny day.

You just have to pick the right person to have a laugh with.

    Choco Donuts. Mmmmmmm.

Interesting. We went for a ride out today and travelled through a very DANGEROUS stretch of road, one of the 10 most deadliest in the country apparently, though I have been using it for 30 odd years without trouble. Anyway...

There was a horse truck, travelling between 35 and 75 k/ph. It had amassed a huge number of vehicles behind it. We got the warning flash of lights from a car heading south, he probably realised that there were many of us that were itching to get past it. Sure enough another km or so and there was plod sitting on the side of the road in a layby. Think he paid any mind to the stream of slow moving vehicles creeping along behind this truck? Nope. Then we passed another plod heading south, he would have seen this huge queue of cars, did he do anything about it? Not a chance.

So here we all were, getting well frustrated about the inconsiderate wanker driving this horse truck and sorely tempted to overtake and plod does NOTHING. Head on crashes are the No 1 cause of deaths on that bit of road, here was a reason for people taking risks and overtaking and 2 cops did not pay it attention. I wonder how many speeding tickets were issued in there today?

    Cynical? Moi?

LOL. No, not the horses at fault in this instqance, just the inconsiderate driver of the truck. There are many, many places she could have pulled over and let a few cars go by...

This is why you should vote for the Swoop Party!
Our policy is to BAN horse trailers, as they are not required!
Horses are a form of transport, and as such should be RIDDEN to their destination. Some claim that horses are capable of off-road ability and as such should ONLY travel off-road.

I've never had an L plate on my bike ... ever ...

    It's never been a problem.

It's not over the top ... considering the lack of expertise among learner rider nowdays ...

Have you done any rider training courses lately ... at all ... ???

yea when horses "party" in back to the sound of horns, the drivers of said horses tend to get the urge to pull over & let the horses "party it out"

It makes you a target to other road users. Who then try to run you off the road. Happened to me many times.
