So I've bought myself a downhill bike. What to do now?

As the title suggests, I’ve gone and bought a 2008 KTM 450 SX-F complete rolling chassis and now have a winter project on my hands.
I’ve started to go over it part by part, cleaning and re-greasing bearings, electrical connectors, and generally giving it a good tidy up.



My intention was to initially transplant some of the goodies to my ‘07 EXC (upgrade suspension etc), and sell the rest, or do I find a suitable (cheap) motor to plonk in the beast and have some fun on for a bit, then onsell later. Someone please convince me that the motor project isn’t worth the time and effort. I don’t really need a full on MX bike ‘cos I ride like a nana, and generally, my EXC will do it all good enough for me.

Perhaps I should be asking the question, is anyone after some parts for a project they’re working on, or a bike that has been bashed up badly. Thought I'd mention it here first before considering putting stuff up on TradeMe.
Basically, if I part it out, up for offer will be everything from a stock rolling chassis:
Wheels, Frame, Swingarm, Pegs
WP 48mm forks/triples
WP Rear shock
Brembo brakes complete front and rear
Plastics set, Fuel tank, Airbox, Seat, Electrics

What to do......? If anyone is keen on parts, please PM me on here.

So many KTM rolling 4 Stroke frames around are these things just to expensive to repair......

If any body can find a 2008 or newer CRF450 roller id be keen. I want to do a modded CR500 transplant.

would think the 06-08 CRF450 would be the go, the newer frames where never as well received, even a 250F of that era would be the go,

If I could find a 09 or newer KX250F roller I would put a KDX200 motor into it,

Pity Kawasaki never put the kdx motor into the kx125 frame. Makes for a great bike by all accounts.
