I alternate between my front and rear pegs on longer trips to alter the riding position
this alleviates soreness that will occur if just using the front pegs only.
But I can only do this when I know there is a reasonable road distance in front of me

you can rest your foot on rear pegs? like as in pillion pegs??

Yeah, I can comfortably reach the rear pegs on my XS1100 yammys and on my putter putter Keyway cruiser
Both set of rear pegs are low on the frames,

I have a sundowner seat on my Roadking. I got if for her indoors because the factory seat was a bit small and sloped backwards.
