Heading south - Just me and the bike

Taking a trip on Anzac day from Ch Ch, at this stage I have'nt planned it too much just thought I'd take advantage of the nice weather ....thinking over Arthurs Pass and down to Haast , then over to Wanaka and down through to Invercargill and back up North etc. Gonna take 4 days and no firm plans , just me and the "Busa. Might take in the Catlans as well ... can't wait

Any major roadworks/ places to avoid ? And, is there 95 Octane in Haast ?

fair amount of roadworks between dunedin and timaru as of Saturday 21st April.. dunno how quick they will be finished. still unsealed road at that point, gotta stop for lollipop man and max speed 30 for a few stretches. not too bad tho

Just had a visit from Stylo ... dropped in for coffee. He stayed in Franz last night. Was muttering about $2.56 for 95 in Franz. $2.60 in Haast.

Thanks for the coffee Trev, had a good ride back , took the Pareora route back through to Cave you suggested after the turn off at Hook on SH1, awesome road .
