People are more likely to move out of the way for a woohoo than a oi get out of the fu#king way call or a bike on the limiter. Just my 2c..
I will use the Rev to let people know i am there, not a massive valve bouncing one, but a quick rev, esp when i was riding 125's,

but i always gave a thank you, or a wave when someone gave me space, to get past as well,

you give kids and people you can see are not confident alot more room as well,

I catch people, and people pass me and in both instances I will wait until i find a nice area to overtake/pull over.
I'm there to have fun and I guess most are to. To get aggro is just not in my nature while riding, even racing.
like you said some are dicks some arn't, just a fact of life.

    Roll on Desert storm.

I do the same, it's a quick clutch in and rev, just a polite "hey, not sure if you've heard me". Then carefully pass while trying not to roost the slower rider, with a nod and a 'thanks' shout.

But at the same time I'll admit I've done some dumb passes, but never intentional. I always feel bad and I know who I've just cut off thinks I'm a complete wankstain but even with the best of intentions, we all get it wrong sometimes.

I was out on a ride about a year ago and I came up and over took a guy that I'd been sitting behind for a while. I wasn't being a dick or anything and it must have been the dad of the guy I passed chased me down and tried to barge me off my bike. I was so stunned when he smashed into me and nutted out that I stalled my bike and he launched into me about thats not how you pass.

    You just can't win sometimes.

Ive lost count how many times I have been passed in what can only be described as a stupid place, by people who think the trail ride I am on is the world series cross country final and I_must_be_passed_no_matter_what ........

Which is quite odd, as I can tell the difference between a world championship final and a trail ride ....

If Im aware of someone behind me I will always move over to one side and or stop and let them past at a safe place for both of us.
Im always very curtious to people I pass, (which isnt very often) especially kids.

I tried finding the guy doing the stylee dismount at the beginning of my vid, in case he wanted a copy, but he was gone by the time I got back.

There is a short write up in this months KR mag. Not quite my 15 minutes of fame, but there is a pic of a fat old chap at the bottom of page 103 on my old KDX.
