Limestone Downs Waikaretu ride - Sunday 29 April

Has anyone done this ride previously? I love the Mr Motorcycles Waikaretu ride so assume this is quite similar apart from the fact this is a loop ride.

I worked on limestone downs back in 83-84, awesome riding country so should be a blast.

part of the Waikaretu ride runs though Limestone Downs so a small part is the same, i have heard it is quite a good loop, hopefully some rain before the weekend will dampin the dust down,

i have never done the ride myself, as this time of year was hell busy with rides and mx days, so if i had a sunday off i normally hid away form motorbikes for a day,

busy weekend this one tho, Jolly Rooster, this ride, MR Moto maize paddock day, Cambridge CLubday, plenty to choose from,

There certainly is heaps to choose from. Friday/Saturday looks like showers with Sunday being fine. Waikaretu sounds like the winner for me.

This ride turned out to be pretty cool. Really enjoyed the challenge of wet clay on the hill that is part of the Mr Motorcycles ride. Biggest challenge of the day were the downhills in pretty heavy rain. One touch on the brake and it was all over. Had full access to the beach too so could ride end to end if you wanted, no dune action though. Would do it again, maybe not in such heavy rain.
