    Reflectors

Just got my bike in from Japan, here are some pics
    http://www.saslex.orcon.net.nz/ :bigthumb:

Does anyone know what the requirements are for reflectors for a WOF/VIN. Someone decided to remove mine with a hacksaw at the rear

I don't think we have any regulations (or enforcement) yet.....But I know one is coming up.

Yep, a rear reflector is required - no reflector - no warrant!

And it must be red. And it must be at least a certain size (metric equivalent of 2 square inches??). To make it easy, Repco only sell legal-sized ones. I think...
Orange side reflectors are not required.

All reference to sizes has been removed from any regs I have at hand - they just say they have to comply with a standard, which means they need a standards marking on them, this will mean they comply.Any standard will do...like a circle with say E3 inside which is euro,ADR,JIS,Federal blah blah, hey even NZ standards are ok.Oh,and just to be fussy, the inspector will need to shine a torch at them to make sure thay work - if he doesn't,upset his Christmas by telling him he's done it wrong!

That's ADR (Australian Design Rules - actualy Australian design sucks, but we'll leave that alone for now) they are suposed to check that mark, but I bet he just makes sure it's red and looks like a reflector.
