So what snappy name are you coming up with? Although I do like tyre thingy![]()
I want mine delivered "properly" this time![]()
Is the head held on with grub screws?
What diameter is the shaft going into it?
My tyre changing stand has a 15mm centre shaft...
The shaft is held with a roll pin / tention pin / roll dowl "any other names for them"
Shaft is 15mm in the head then steped up to 16mm then down to 14.8mm so it
fits in 15mm bearings easy...
a longer shaft then it would fit though the wheel & into the 15mm hole in the tyre stand..

I just watched the video of that tool in action again and can't wait to use it for real. While we talk about the best dual sport tires the best thing is to have multiple dual sport tires and change them for specific trips![]()

Was just thinking of dropping the head onto the 14-odd mm shaft that's already on the changer...
Although........
Welding a 15mm ID tube to the changer instead of the shaft, would mean the shaft of the PB Bead Setter would drop down into it and hold the wheel nicely...
They are all in the hands of NZ post now...
One thing I have noticed with them they can work
better on one side of the wheel than the other..
It depends on the hub to rim offset..
changes rack to gear angle...
Don't get to gready... About 30/40mm
bites at a time...
They don't need to be on the bead when the
rack/gear in-gauge... they have 45mm of travel...
