Speaking of cool tools, there's been the odd post out there about stands to get a wheel off the ground to lube the chain or fix a flat, some use sticks, some use cut down expandable tent poles, here's one made for purpose ready to use...

Bit like that, the bits are tubes and one slides inside the other etc etc, yea the one tim has looks quite light duty so I'd take care using it. Comes with a strap to lock on the front brake to help stop it rolling off the stand.
Should suit the WR nicely, my Transalp has a centre stand.
    Tyre tool arrived today thanks.

Edit: better pictures of the stand on their instructions page.

If you have a real adventure bike you just throw it on the ground to fix a flat.

I usually take a hot woman along to assist with lubrication.

Helmet under the bashplate of the KLR lifts the back wheel nicely off the ground.

Now that's something to mock up the next time someone gets a flat

Someone lying on the ground under the bike while a tyre gets changed...

I volunteer Padmei for the lying on the ground bit...

I can't, I've got to film it of course...

Why is it always me that has to hold the bike up with my head? Can't someone else have a go for once? You guys always seem to take a long time & laugh when I get cramp
