Good on him for doing that sort of speed on a public road. I would if I could.

you might be able to get to 240/250 if you twist your wrist.

try do it somewhere with lots of wire fencing on either side of the road..

I've had the speedo up to 250 once (on a "race track"). It seems to die off usually once the speedo gets to 240, it's sort of like hitting an equilibrium where power = wind resistance.

lol sure sure, don't think the straight at ruapuna is long enough for ur bike to get to 250

and yea it is a matter of not enough hp and too much aero drag once u hit that speed. ur gonna need more balls. or change the gearing a bit if its still got some rpms in it

I've gone -1 on the front sprocket, and determined with a GPS that the speedo over reads by 10%, so 250 on the speedo is really only 225 IRL.
It will do an indicated 230 on the back straight of Ruapuna though.

I went from a 250cc straight to a 600cc and did over 200 on the second day of owning it (on a race track, of course ). Having an extra 50kg of weight and a longer wheelbase your bike should be a lot more stable on the open road than mine. Do it, you know you want to!
