    Moving down the line. Tauranga.

Is there any group rides in Tauranga that head out once in a while. Decided to head to Tauranga and find me a new job and a new life lol,

Hey, Cant help you out with that as im down in Christchurch. However, Im looking to move up to Tauranga in the next 2 months so will be keen to go out for a ride.
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Dont know about the group ride scene in tauranga, but when I was living there I used to like the ride up to Kaiate? falls. Actually there are a few good roads out there.

Keep in touch. I ride out of Tauranga. I think some KB people used to meet at Drivers Bar, 11th Ave, on Tuesday nights.

There are some nice rides out of Tauranga. East along the coast takes you to "Wally's on the Wharf" at Whakatane - best fish and chips in the bay. You can come back through Rotorua via Kawerau and the Lakes. Or head south, Rotorua. Taupo, or maybe south then eats through Murupara/Galatea and home through Edgecumbe and Matata. Then there's over the Kaimais to the Waikato, lots of good roads there. Or up SH2, either up to Whangamata and over the Hikuwai Road or left at Pairoa and home through Te Aroha and the Kaimais.

My favourite ride is over the Kaimais and down to Tokoroa, west into the forest and drop down to Whakamaru, then down to Ti Hoi for a burger, then back out of Whakamaru along the north side of the Waikato River, over towards Rotorua and home via the Pyes Pa Rd. Nice run of around 300 km.

Yeah, motorbiking is just a way of getting from nosh to nosh! And the lucky thing is that the best nosh is often a long way apart.

    Tauranga is full

We meet on Thursdays, go for a ride that usually involves the Oko, and then end up at Drivers Bar
