I'm planning on doing it, probably taking Friday off, leaving north shore and taking every back gravel road I can find to taupo, and same deal for the trip home on Sunday. Have a couple of likely starters already if anyone else wants to join the convoy....

Not really worried where the photos came from, riding anywhere down there is great with the pumice base and rolling countryside.....

Planning to be there also unless weather is deemed to be a storm. Will book in as close to the date as I can. Coming over with Waipukbiker ( Ross ) & will meet up with Taupo based bikeflite ( Bernard ) who has a GPS, so no lunch box for me.
