Thanks for that RDjase. I see they used the L2 prefix on early YB100 models which is why I thought it was one of those. But having a 1966-68 date range certainly narrows it down for me. Cheers.

Just out of interest I rang the local Yamaha dealer who has that serial number listed as a 1973 YB100. However my other bike is a 1974 YB100 which was originally dated as a 1989 bike so the bike could be older than their records. So now I am thoroughly confused!
