model of your bike: YZF-R1 and a ZX6R
how long have you been riding: 25 years
how many times did you get pulled over: Plenty many (25+ easily)
reason for being pulled over: Self inflicted 90% of the time, several breath tests which I have no issue with, several unwarranted/assumed guilty pull overs

    Nothing personal, but that's disappointing

I got pulled over just out on the edge of Greytown recently in mums car, for an 'unsafe overtaking maneuvour' the prat in the campervan had done 20k through the entire town. I got pissed off and nailed it the second the other side was clear. Apparently nothing coming for well over 200m isn't safe? No, ticket, just a warning about scaring tourists.

On the bike, only really been stopped once and thats for no l plate. He took a guess, and was right. Something about a gn250 and learners. It was there when I left the house, parked outside the supermarket in Newtown, and it was gone when I got back. Pinged on the way home.

Breath tested a bunch of times on the bike, never just been waved through. It always comes up with no alcohol because I'm not dumb enough to push my luck.

    riding since 1974
various bikes, current ZZR1100, MT-01. (sometimes her can am)
When young? 'several' times usually for acting like a typical 'Looney plater'. Speeding, silly manouvers etc. Since being here? Apart from spot checks for alcohol,, only 3 times, 2 for speeding, and once to have a chat about the bike, he was seriously interested in it.
May be luck of the draw?? But I often see a popo on the road and have been doing 110ish and they have'nt even reacted,,, phew!!

Bugger. Seems we are crap at the revenue collecting that we get accused of. From what I can see in this thread, most people have been fairly Popo-free, given the number of times each has ridden, versus the number of times they have been stopped.

It appears that our reputation for being nit picking, revenue collecting bastards may be overstated.

I did a late shift last night, and believe me, the things I sa that I could have collected revenue from, you'd be gob smacked. Wrote 3 tickets, one for a prohibited right turn, one for 120 in an 80, one for 106 in an 80.

    Maybe I'm losing it.

Yeh but now you know where we all live (areas) and can inform the local plod where all the missing revenue is

Been pulled over twice in the car, once at about 2.30am for going through a stop sign. The car I was trying to get in front of turned out to be an under cover cop . I was on restricted and had 2 passengers, cop just fined me for the stop sign.
The other time was for speeding, 61 in a 50k zone or something.
2 breath checks, once on the way to an exam, ha.
Once on the CB250 for 119 in 100k zone (haven't been able to make the speedo go that high.)
One breath test on the bike, at about 3pm on a Friday, coming home from uni.

Been riding about 3 years, driving 8ish.

    Gee, countless times. I remember some;
    Late '70's, AC50, doing 70 in a 50 zone.
Late '70's, AC50, no licence. I was 13 or 14. Let off with a telling off.
Early 80's, XR250, speeding, wheel standing one or two up, no wof, no number plate (broke it off wheel standing), burn outs on white lines in the rain, etc,etc many times booked, many times let off.
    Early 80's, GS550. Speeding.
    Late 80's XL500s. Speeding.
1990's Z1100,NSW, Vic & QLD. Speeding, not stopping at stop sign. (Phillip Island, on way from track to Cowles pub - 100's got booked that day.)

Wow looks worse than it is when listed. 30+ years riding, yes some years like an idiot, one trip in an ambulance when a car u turned in front of me. Oh, pulled over once cause cop thought riding when leg was in a cast was a bad idea.

    Now I ride off road.

Pulled over a million times for speeding, lost license due to demerits a year or so ago.
Now I just don't ride on the road anymore.

You could just try a little self control, then you could get back out on the road, and have a shit load more money to boot.

I see what you are saying, I gave that a whirl. I don't really enjoy commuting on a bike, and I'm not really into the whole group ride to the pub thing either. I just enjoy going fast. I suppose some people are the opposite, and are horrified by going fast, but enjoy a nice sunday ride.
Much prefer to drive around in my super slow van on the road. Everyone is different.
