So its ok to pull out in front of bikes just as long as they are not speeding?
Bloody good ad that.![]()
For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.Keep an open mind, just dont let your brains fall out.
Good ad but the Aussies still don't have Ghost Chips or Mantrol![]()
Poor R1
Good ad though
Another good one:
We were in Melbourne last month and this advert (in the same series) was on the tele a fair bit... I thought it was pretty good.
Edit: Posted same link as above. Obviously too slow!
There are bikes everywhere in Melbourne, and free parking on the footpath is the norm. They really seem to encourage motorbiking and cycling there and there are bike shops throughout the CBD. I was in bike heaven whilst the wife shopped...
Any ad like this has to be good,,, it was a very good example of how to crash.
Speeding,Target fixation,Locking the rear brake and sliding for 25meters into an obstacle that should of been ridden around if the rider had looked for the obvious gap before freezing up on the brakes.
Sums it all up..not so nicely
...ride and drive safe KBers
There panel damage....could be our life!...and stupid decisions could be anothers

There is huge opposition to this in Aussie. One of the Brand forums I belong too have posted a an online petition to get the ad changed.
"I'm sick of paying higher insurance and rego premiums to see this garbage funded, If the bike in this ad was a Bus or a truck, and the outcome would be much different would the Bus/Truck then be at fault?
I live in Sydney and this kind of add propoganda seems to circulate every few years what's even more annoying is
The message should have been targeted to car drivers about road Awareness, rarely (if any) do we see ads where it asks drivers to look out for motorcycles governments need to consult overseas crash experts to get it right next time.
There is a petition going round to have the ad removed
I've filled it out today. http://www.bikepoint.com.au/news/2012/-30008"
I must admit spokes (http://www.spokes.com.au/#/home) and TAC do a great site. This is what bloody motonz should be doing...
Had he been doing 100, he would have been long through the intersection and been home having his third bourbon, the driver would have seen him flash past in front and maybe had a thought about motorcycle safety, and the fluffy nosed frog would no longer be classed as a endangered species.Originally Posted by YouTube Clip
Maybe if he had been doing 60 he could have been squished by the "Road Train" that was illegally driving through a residential area.
Had the rider been doing 20, aliens would have been able to catch up and give him a "special" probe.
FFS we could play the "What If?..." game for days on this example
There are two types of people in the world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data sets
I guess it depends on perspective.
Yes there should be ads focussed on cars taking another look, but that doesnt mean that riders shouldnt be targeted for their mistakes as well.
Id like to see a nationwide competition that gives people the opportunity to make their own advertisement for road safety.
top five winners get their ads played a couple times on telly, and get a whole bunch of free driver training or petrol vouchers or sommat.
