Some bikes look good with underseat, some look good with the side pipe. Personally I like underseat of the R1 or older ducatis but not the ones on the CBR and 636. The underseats kinda balance out the look of the bike as a whole but two side pipes will do that aswell. Just depends on the bike. BTW I'm not one to care about if it reduces the horspower or whatever, if I don't like the look I don't buy it.

The 916 was made to have underseat mufflers , where as the others have just copyed it & not done a good Job of it . Hate the CBR aftermarket Single mufflers they look Crap . A bike with out a Muffler on its side is like a Woman with out TITS .

    Definitely exhausts on the side.

The original ducati design doesn't hide it's mufflers behind layers of plastic like the R1 or 636 or even worse the CBR which looks like it's been stuck on as an afterthought, instead it openly exposes them like a double barrel gun warning anybody who dare try and challenge it to a duel.

The current ducati looks rather too PC….. the 916/748/996 are classics.

However all other bikes look wayyyyyy better with the side zorsts IMO

Yeah 916 etc all good in my books, all the jap versions are lacking, even the R1, too much shitty plastic covers and crap like that around it. Looks tacky, how ever a guy i know with a full akro system on his R1, that looks bloody nice. The honda's and kawkas stock system's are even worse, the yoshi RS5 on Mings ZX is cool, sounds good to but then theres the hassle of numberplate etc.
I've heard all the pros and cons about them, personal preferance i guess, i still reckon a motogp style header pipe out the bottom of your fairing is the bizzo, much like the K5 1000 mod sAsLEX posted not that long ago. I like my muffer on the Gixer, still wouldn't mind a high level conector pipe and junking the pilloin peg, but thats $$$ i dont have at the mo.

Just a curiosity but what would it be like if you put a straight through pipe with a similar set up like the inside of my pipes (check my baffeling question thread for pics) on a sport bike? Would it affect power or anything like that? Bet it would sound interesting.

I love dual pipes on either side...my fav would have to be the pipes on the SP2. Gotta love that angle.

Put your hands under the tap, the water comes on at just the right temp (once again, you touch nothing), move hands under soap dispenser and it automatically deposits liquid soap in your hands, wash hands then dry under automatic hand drier (that feels like it removes the top layer of skin). Leave toliet and shut door and the light turns off. Simply amazing.
    You touch the door? Ooooohhhh.

i like the look of those short mufflers that come out just in front of the back wheel. You see them on somegsxr1000 race bikes like the suzuka 8-hour race. can't find a pic tho...
    ..it's another red light nightmare..
