    Thumbs up

This year is a first for me, as I busted me leg early in May I have put the rego on hold for three months, can't ride her for at least that long anyhow, good thing is the wife's bike is going great and she's still rego'd and warranted, so if I get a pass any earlier I'll have something g to ride until I get the coal burner back.
Have always ridden through winter and kept rego alive, not worth the hassle and I'm not one for thumbing my nose at all the other guys an girls who do ride and pay all year too.
Every day above ground is a good day!:

    my how times change!

I brought a car am selling my road bike and want to get REAL dirty off road - much more fun in the rain and the cold than dirty ole commuting.
Plus I'm totally over having to try to make myself presentable once I arrive at work on the bike...it takes such effort and frankly I need a cars worth of gear with me to get half way there!

Put them away for winter? You limp bunch.
The 600 won't get much use on super shit days, got a GN250 for those boring slow rides

Tis funny, i'm riding my bikes now far more than in the summer, even used Tubby for work a few times. The urge is so strong I was out practicing my braking & sphincter clenching in the rain on Monday. Which reminds me, must close the jacket vents & put the liner in. Brrrrrrrrrr.

The practice is worth the puckering. Same day, a car slammed the anchors on in the middle of a slick corner & it was almost a pleasure to brake & evade.

Rode my little 250 every day this week to work, enjoyed passing all those warm buggers sitting in their cars, in the traffic ques.
Today I pulled out my 1100, went for a pleasant ride around Banks Peninsula. apart from the grit on some corners, no different than any summer morning.
I love these warm days in winter, clean air , less pushbikes, even fewer horse riders and at the end of the ride I feel invigorated.
Putting the bike away, settling back in my nice warm lodgings, a smile on my face.
The warm house in winter after a cold ride, is better sometimes than a sweat box in summer after a hot ride....

definitely not putting the 'Blade away for the winter.. I work in an environment where I don't need to be presentable and as such it doesn't matter if I turn up in my wet weather gear as I just pull my overalls on over what I'm wearing underneath it all.. but I still commute to work in the car regularly..
