your've found the loophole, laws don't apply to orange vehicles.
Thats why the police cars have orange patches it allows them to pick & choose what laws to obey, whereas you don't need to obey any

this rule is actually f*ing daft unless you live in some backwater sh*thole, where the roundabouts are one lane and flat across. compare panmure roundabout down in auckland.. 6 roads/ 7 lanes coming in, 8 going out and they change over half way around.
not everyone there is going to see you come into the roundabout, not everyone who wants to be on the roundabout will get there in time, and no-one's psychic. (and aucklanders are just fucking retarded in cars.)

more indication is better than less.

i want to acquire one of those "pedestrians give way to traffic" signs and weld it to the bullbars...

If we had an entrapment law in NZ,,,that would be a perfect example,,,I could just hear the cop bleating on about it now,,,fuck that.
I don't knowingly break the law now so I'm not going to for some clown that doesn't understand the law an tries to use me as their excuse.
I agree that it would be pretty damn stupid to let a truck go first. Even a truck with a Hot Chick driving

Used to be the case. Then some accountant realised it was cheaper to maintain only one set of livery, so all new vehicles in the last 3 or 4 years are yellow and blue.

Funny story. A dog handler drove his car from the West Coast to Christchurch to pick up his replacement dog wagon. When he saw that the new one was yellow and blue, he drove back to the Coast in his old truck, as he didn't want to look like a traffic cop.

And they say attitudes can change. Not for some.

Well that would explain the lessening of of the orange band cars...
