But apparently there is some new fandandled skillsaw that just has 2 counter rotating blades that does it quicker.

yes, ther is that two way skilly. it cuts forewards and ackwards with ease, it can start right in the middle of a cut and has no kick, so even a girl can use it.

the problem with using powertools to steal shit is that they're loud.

magnesium ribbon, wrapped around chain links and lit will also cut through, depending on the alloy a gas axe might do it too.

but the average dickhead doesn't extend to serious tools.

    a. The following are not household contents and are not covered by this policy:
    – property belonging to members of your family who are tertiary students living away from home
    – livestock or domestic pets
    – trees, plants or shrubs in the open air
    – motor vehicles or their spare parts and accessories
    – aircraft, aerial devices, or their spare parts and accessories
    – watercraft and accessories worth over $500 in total value

If anyone else's policy does cover it let us know (not that i have a bike to cover at the moment).
Bummer. Looks like most contents policies exclude motor vehicles. Some include them when they are scheduled in the policy, but it looks like none by default.

I thought they all covered them as I was involved in investigating a complex fire claim involving 4 insurance compaies and two houses that got burnt downduring 1 fire event. Cars were in the garages of both houses and were paid for under the home & contents policies in the first instance and subsequently partially refunded by two other insurance companies who were covering third parties who were deemed to have contributed to the cause of the fire.
Political correctness: a doctrine which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd from the clean end.

Only thing louder than cutting the chain with a cordless, would be demoing it with explosives haha.
