    Insuring larger capacity bikes

    How do you fine people on your learners or restricted insure your larger capacity bikes, I grabbed a DRZ400SM over the weekend and am keen to get it insured, is it possible or am I doomed to wait untill LAMs.

    If you have an exemption certificate to ride a larger capacity bike? .. no problem.

    You can get fire/theft insurance but that is all. Even then the one insurer I asked said it had to be kept in a locked garage (which I don't have).

    You can get full comprehensive insurance, they just wont cover you to ride it, any other full licence holder will be fine to smack into into as many buses as they want.
